IRISS Announces UL Listing for Custom Replacement Panels
IRISS is the only company in the world who can manufacture “UL Listed” replacement covers, panels and doors with an IR inspection window for all electrical distribution equipment.

Therefore IRISS, the world leader in Critical Asset Surveillance Technologies continues to be at the forefront in working with UL to ensure all our Electrical Maintenance Safety products meet their rigorous standards and are either UL Listed or UL Recognized.
In 2016 IRISS began working with UL to secure a blanket “UL Listing” on our FlexIR custom replacement panels which incorporate our patented Inspection window lens systems that allow for and infrared, visual and ultraviolet inspection to be completed in all closed panel scenarios. This was an important step as all standard IR windows available today are only UL recognized components and as such have certain limitations.
IRISS is proud to announce that we have now secured our UL Listing approval and can now offer our FlexIR custom replacement panels and inspection windows under blanket listing E491496 as Environmental-rated Accessories for Enclosures. What this means is that IRISS is the ONLY company in the world who can currently manufacture “UL Listed” replacement covers, panels and doors with an IR inspection window for all your electrical distribution equipment including but not limited to transformers, panelboards, switchboards, load centers, switchgear, motor terminal chambers, busway joints, inverters, speed drives and UPS Systems.
IRISS FlexIR Custom replacement panels and inspection windows provide two distinct advantages:
1. They facilitate much faster field installation as no cutting, drilling and touch-up painting is required. Many customers have very limited downtime for maintenance and custom replacement panels can be the only practical way to implement inspection windows.
2. Many OEM designs make the retrofit of standard IR windows impossible due to limited internal electrical clearances and structural interferences. Custom replacements panels can be designed to eliminate these problems and install in just minutes.
IRISS has a library of FlexIR custom panel designs already available for
many OEM products and we have the capability to rapidly design solutions using our 3D scanning and advanced manufacturing capability. Now that FlexIR replacement panels are also UL Listed, there really are no electrical assets for which you cannot implement a safer, more efficient way to perform you condition based maintenance inspections.
