We are proud to announce that the IRISS CAP-ENV-PDS has been named a finalist in the Plant Engineering 2017 Product of the Year awards program. This product has been chosen as a Finalist in the Electrical Safety category and will be mentioned in the November Plant Engineering issue, online, and in the e-newsletters.

What is the CAP-ENV-PDS?

The CAP-ENV-PDS allows visual, infrared and ultrasound inspection all through a single maintenance inspection system. The Partial Discharge Sensor (PDS) is a built-in piezoelectric sensor that you connect with a standard handheld ultrasound tester and allows you to keep the panel in a “closed and guarded” condition, even when taking ultrasound readings, ensuring personnel safety at all times.

On November 9th, the Finalists were announced online at http://www.plantengineering.com/poy, and voting began within the New Products for Engineers database (http://www.plantengineering.com/NP4E). Voting is only open to qualified subscribers of Plant Engineering products (magazine—print or digital, e-newsletters, white papers, etc.). Qualified subscribers are encouraged to vote in as many categories for which they are qualified based on technological advancement, service to the industry, and market impact. One (1) ballot per qualified subscriber will be accepted; multiple ballots from the same qualified subscriber will be invalid. Voting will continue until January 5, 2018.
