The QwikFit-IR is a unique solution for panel board applications where small frame breakers’ load side connections would not be visible for infrared inspection even if a custom deadfront replacement panel had been installed. The QwikFit-IR replaces the small frame breaker’s standard blanking plate providing unparalleled inspection access. QwikFit-IR snaps in place and are available for Square D™ I-Line combo and distribution panel boards.
Our exclusive polymer technology is unaffected by environmental stresses, and enables visual, IR, and UV inspections across the entire Infrared spectrum. This original design is able to resist mechanical stresses and is tested and certified to meet mandatory impact/load requirements beyond the capabilities of crystal-based windows.
Unlike the round infrared windows the large format IRISS QwikFit-IR series and custom infrared windows have a far superior field of view. The QwikFit-IR series has over 6 times the FOV of a 4-inch diameter round window which give the thermographer the ability of infinite viewing angles inside the switchgear. Reducing the number of infrared windows needed typically reduces the cost of the installation and product purchases required by over 50%.
Following a few simple instructions, IRISS inspection windows can be quickly installed on switchgear and MCC panel covers, as well as transformers and other electrical equipment. Each window comes with an installation guide, as well as links to installation videos.
Polymer based IR windows are far more able to resist the mechanical stresses applied to IR window that are fitted to electrical distribution equipment. It was IRISS that first came to market with industrial grade IR windows that could meet the mandatory impact and load testing requirements of UL, CSA, IEEE, IEC, CE testing that could never be passed by any crystal based IR window.
IRISS manufactures and assembles all products at our global headquarters located in Bradenton, FL.
The IRISS Unconditional lifetime warranty is unique in the IR industry as it not only applies not only to the workmanship of the window housing but also applies to the durability and stability of the optic in the proposed environment. No other manufacturer can offer this because crystal optics will fail over time, and are only able to at best offer a limited lifetime warranty for manufacturing defects
Polymer based infrared windows are unaffected by the environmental and mechanical stresses that degrade the transmission of crystal-based IR windows which are fragile and hygroscopic (even when coated). The polymer IR window systems will maintain fixed and stable transmission (FAST) for the life of the installation ensuring that the temperature data collected through the IR window is accurate and reliable for the whole life of the installation.
